Macro KeyMacro Key A macro key is a conveniently used in many daily operations. An example would be how the Microsoft Windows operating system is able to attach a program to a keystroke and initiate that program when the key is touched. To limit confusion and unwanted action, it is very practical to designate a special key that will only be used by a single program. This will generally consist of a sequential or combinational keystroke.
Combinational keystrokes are those generated by pressing keys simultaneously or in a particular order. A user normally does this without second thought. For instance, a capital “A” is generated by pressing and holding the “key,” then pressing the “A” key before releasing them both.
Mules are often used to emulate macro keys. They are able to generate any probable combination of keystrokes. This includes more complex strokes that use three or more keys when giving a command. |
