Daily DAT

Daily DAT
The original schedule consisted of reports being offered on a weekly or emergency basis. As the number of threats increased, this process became less effective and called for a more frequent routine in the form of the daily DAT. This in large part was a direct result of the consistent rise, contraction rate, and prevalence of new threats, such as malware and spyware. These instances increased drastically as reported by the number of threats actually generated and customers who experienced them first hand. Information derived from the weekly and emergency reports detailed a whopping increase in malware development, while new variations, such as SDBot, SpyBot, GaoBo,t and new types of adware were being detected multiple times throughout a 24 hour period. As threats continued to grow at an alarming rate, developers realized that the schedule was in need of a change – and thus, the daily DAT was born. Software also became more advanced in order to detect and safely remove the problems.
