Chameleon CardChameleon Card The Chameleon Card is designed to work in conjunction with a small device known as a Pocket Vault. It has many security features that protect against identity theft, the physical theft of a card, and theft of credit card details via internet. The Pocket Vault contains a built-in RFID (radio frequency identification) and enough capacity to display user photos.
When inserting a Chameleon Card, the Pocket Vault reads and stores the data in a secure internet session while connected to a computer. After reading the data, the device displays an icon on it’s touch screen. In order to make a transaction, a user must identify themselves through a finger-scanning authentication procedure and select which card they desire to use. When a selection is made, the Pocket Vault programs the appropriate data and enables the Chameleon card to be used. Typical information such as a name, credit card number and expiration date are shown in the display area. |
