Address Book

Address Book
Address Book was created by Apple and only functions on the Mac OS X operating system. The program essentially has two view modes: View Card and Column and View Card only. Users are able to switch between modes by accessing a control found in the upper-left section of the window. When using Address book, a user can make edits to all default fields. These areas include: Picture, Name pronunciation, First name, Last Name, Phone Number, Job title, Home page, Email address, Birth date, Instant Messaging user ID. Address Book Features • The ability to sync iCal calenders • The ability to sync data to an iPhone • The ability to sync data to Microsoft Exchange Server • Prints labels, envelopes and pocket address lists • Speech recognition searching • Automated change of address notification • Third-party plugin capability Address Book can also search LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) directories. A user can make these configurations under the LDAP tab of the preferences menu.
